Updating an existing fireplace or planning a remodel in Bellevue? Thompson’s Hearth & Home offers gas and wood fireplaces, inserts, and freestanding stoves, with personal guidance from owners Guy and Nicole Thompson and installation by our own in-house team.
Our family-owned showroom is located in nearby Issaquah on NW Gilman Boulevard. With over 50 models on display and more than 40 burning, you can compare flame appearance, feel the heat, and see different styles and finishes before making your decision.
Updating Your Existing Fireplace
If you have a wood-burning fireplace that you rarely use, a gas or wood insert may be a practical upgrade. The right choice depends on your existing fireplace, heating needs, and how you prefer to enjoy a fire.
A gas insert offers convenient operation without handling firewood or cleaning up ash. A wood insert lets you continue enjoying a real wood fire in an enclosed heating appliance.
We’ll help you assess suitable models, explain installation requirements, and choose a surround that complements your fireplace. Where needed, custom surrounds can help create a more finished fit.

Fireplaces for Bellevue Remodels & New Homes
Adding a fireplace or replacing an existing built-in unit requires planning around the available space, venting, clearances, and surrounding finishes.
We’ll walk you through those considerations and help you choose a fireplace that fits your project. Our selection includes traditional and contemporary designs, along with freestanding stoves for homeowners who prefer that style.

Installation by Our Own Team
Thompson’s Hearth & Home has been owned and operated by Guy and Nicole since 2004, with Guy’s hearth-industry experience dating back to 1989.
Our own experienced in-house team handles fireplace installation. We’ll explain the proposed work and help you understand what your project involves before moving forward.
After installation, we provide warranty support and gas-appliance service for customers whose units we installed. Bellevue is within our local installation area, allowing us to maintain that relationship after the sale.

For an existing fireplace, bring photos and the opening’s width and height when you visit. A wider photo showing the mantel, hearth, and surrounding wall also helps us understand the space.
